EyeYon offers a solution for curing corneal edema via an implant that is based on a polymer film attached to the posterior corneal surface, thereby resolving the source of the problem.
- The implantation of the EndoArt® will prevent transfer of fluids into the cornea thereby preventing the creation of edema in the ailing eye.
- The implantation procedure is minimally invasive and suture-less, preventing injury to other local tissues and thereby resulting in a high degree of implantation success.
The EndoArt® implant passed a series of comprehensive in-vitro and in-vivo testing in accordance with regulatory requirements. The EndoArt® is at the beginning of First in Human trials. The initial results have presented the feasibility and safety of implanting EndoArt®. Furthermore, EndoArt® has demonstrated a significant improvement in the corneal edema status of implanted patients.
