What an incredible few days at the 43rd Congress of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) in Copenhagen!

EyeYon Medical was proud to be part of one of the most dynamic and engaging events in ophthalmology -sharing our latest clinical insights, surgical experiences, and innovations in corneal care with colleagues and partners from around the world.

Highlights from Our Participation

Near Live Surgery
One of the most memorable moments at ESCRS was the Near Live Surgery: Artificial Endothelial Implantation with EndoArt®, performed by Dr. Luis Fernández-Vega Cueto.
Watching the procedure unfold live, while hearing the thoughtful commentary and discussion that followed, was both exciting and deeply rewarding. It perfectly captured the spirit of collaboration and innovation that defines EyeYon’s work and our shared commitment to advancing corneal treatment.

Instructional Courses
Our instructional courses — EndoArt®: A New Hope for Complex Corneas and High-Risk Endothelial Decompensation: Novel (Artificial) Surgical Options vs. Human Tissue; provided valuable educational experiences for surgeons eager to expand their understanding of synthetic corneal therapies. Led by renowned experts, the sessions sparked meaningful conversations on patient selection and surgical refinements.

Scientific Sessions and Posters
Throughout the congress, EyeYon’s collaborators presented new data and shared real-world experiences on EndoArt® and Hyper-CL, showcasing growing adoption and strong clinical outcomes across diverse patient populations.

At the Booth
Our booth at ESCRS was a true hub of energy and engagement – welcoming a continuous stream of visitors, from leading surgeons to new partners and friends.
One of the highlights within the booth was our interactive WetLab area, where many surgeons took part in hands-on demonstrations and explored the EndoArt® implantation technique up close.
We were delighted by the enthusiasm, curiosity, and collaboration that filled our space throughout the congress – a wonderful reflection of the passion driving the ophthalmology community forward.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our speakers, collaborators, and visitors who helped make ESCRS 2025 such an outstanding experience.

Together, we continue to shape the future of corneal innovation.

Highlights from Our Participation

EndoArt® – Transforming Corneal Care
Our experts presented the latest advances in EndoArt®, showcasing its role as a novel, tissue-free solution for patients with complex corneal conditions and high-risk endothelial failure.
Speakers included David Lockington, Sorcha Ní Dhubhghaill, Luis Fernández-Vega Cueto, Alain Saad, Romesh Angunawela, Björn Bachmann, Ofer Daphna, Arie Marcovich, Itay Lavy, and Thomas Poole.

Hyper-CL Innovation
Results from a randomized controlled study demonstrated how the Hyper-CL drug-depository lens can reduce antimicrobial treatment burden in bacterial keratitis, presented by Lionel Raj Daniel Ponniah.

Scientific & Clinical Impact
Our presentations covered a wide range of topics – from long-term outcomes and one-year follow-up of EndoArt® implantation, to comparisons of artificial endothelial devices versus human tissue – reflecting EyeYon’s leadership in advancing corneal therapeutics.

Thought Leadership
At the Ophthalmology Futures Forum, Nahum Ferera, CEO of EyeYon Medical, shared his perspectives on how device- and cell-based therapies can together shape the future of corneal disease treatment, highlighting EyeYon’s innovative vision for regenerative ophthalmology.

Collaborative Research
EyeYon’s commitment to clinical excellence was further represented in multiple ePosters on corneal surgery and endothelial keratoplasty, presented by Irit Levy, Ruth Lapid, Christophe Panthier, Elad Karasati, Armin Motaabbed, Victor Augustin, Nadav Karawani, and Savithri Sreekala.
